How to add content to local storage

1. Turn on your Boombot PRO.

2. Double-tap the power button to access Chambers mode(the light should turn purple).

3. Plug your Boombot PRO into your computer via the micro USB cable.

4. Find the BOOMBOT drive on your desktop.

5. Drag and drop the songs you'd like to add. Eject the drive when you are done.

You should now be able to play songs off the local storage by hitting the 'PLAY' button on top of the device.

If you'd like to go into shuffle in Chambers mode, just tap the power button once.

Initially it didn't work for me either but I had plugged it in before I turned it on. Once I unplugged it, double-clicked the power button, and plugged it back in it showed up almost immediately. Copying files is slow but it is working. Not sure if this matters but I am running Windows 10.

I am having the same problem, my unit just arrived, and my slightly older Rex device did not have this issue?

I have now tried to have this device recognized on a Mac running latest OSx, as well as a Windows 10 machine with Anniversary update installed.

On OSx it does not show up at all, on Windows 10 I can see Drive E show up in the left hand quick link column, but if I try to navigate to it it tells me that I have to insert a disc.

Any help on this would be appreciated...

Having the same problem. It doesn't show as drive - running Windows 10 Anniversary Update.  If it does show up as a drive the odd time, it isn't usable .. and double tapping feature doesn't work .. or if it does - you don't realize it.  The colors don't match up to any of the documentation.  From the above comments, seems like this is known issue - is there a driver update, firmware update or something of that nature that is required?

    Using macbook pro
    Info file shows 2gb
    After uploading about 15 songs
    Only 10 are played
After deleting these 15, i uploaded a few others. At this time - no songs are playable. After deletings these, re-upload initial 10 that played first - are playing
Space usage is showing as if nothing has been deleted and now, there is a lot kess space available.
Speaker shuts down when using for phonecalls .

You have some Duplicate Files on your computer which hampers your memory space.
Just use "DuplicateFilesDeleter".If you use this software you will be get comfortable.

okay, so i have followed the user manual to the exact letter, my windows 10 is completely updated including all drivers and otherwise. LED is whiteish, looks almost light blue/aqua, nothing anywhere is helping me. computer can recognize that there is a device there but will not format, says file system is unrecognized and to update drivers or find the proper files to install the device. I have tried every possible combination of formatting, trying different colors, etc. nothing will work.

So hey, I was able to get music onto my boombox's local drive. But I am having issues actually getting the music to play from the speakers local storage. At times I get a faint, static like, white noise, that will dissipate or enhance in correlation to the volume buttons, but that's about all. I've synced and deleted about three times trying different things to make music play off of the local storage, unfortunately no dice. I have also tried playing in standard ( purple ) and shuffle ( green ). I have had times of solid color, and blinking color. I am not sure of the difference there. The manual doesn't cover that. Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to offer. :)

Ok I got the same Issue, my pc didnt want to recognize my boombot, but I find a solution

pair your boombot with your android or any other device, while is connected to your pc through USB cable... My Pc happens to recognize the boombot right after this step. Might not work for everybody, it did for me.
