Problems Pairing

"When I first turn on the REX, the light is green but it makes an odd clicking or popping noise repetitively(this noise is relatively quiet).  When I pair it with my phone(Samsung Galaxy S4, running Android 4.2.2) the light remains green, but I now have button control over the device, but no audio.  When I plug in the line in, I get audio out of the speaker most of the time, but sometimes it goes into the clicking sounds, with no audio.  Please advise."

Occassionally your paired device(IPhone, Galaxy, Android, ect...) needs to be turned off and on again. If that doesn't work, try a hard reset. If the problem further persists, please contact support@boombotix.com.

Very similar issue with just received BoomBot Rex. Seems to be DOA...cannot pair consistently and have issues even getting audio over line in.

If you are having problems with your phone connecting, we've seen several instances where a hard reset will fix the issue.

On iOS devices you can do a hard reset by holding the power + home button for three seconds.

I had the same problem it wouldn't show in list of devices on my phone but worked on tablet solution is to find an app that gives you the address for the boombot then on my phone I downloaded an app that let me input the address and manually connect it , it works great now

One of the app's is called BY Direct that's on my phone, the other app for getting the address is Bluetooth Device Info , so if you can get it connected to any device download B,D,I and launch then find device you want to connect to your phone exc.. and it will give you the information , on the phone exc.. download BT Direct open it manually type the info in , inportant after typing info into the device you want your speaker exc.. to connect to turn bluetooth off on the device it's already connected to and make sure the speaker goes into descovery mode blue lite flashing on mine might be a different color for you if it doesn't flash make sure it didn't connect to your other device and or turn power off on speaker then back on then click pier button , if you make a mistake like I did right away your best bet is to right info down my speakers address was something like this B8 B3 DC 65 88 8F that is what you need to find and type into BT Direct app
